Long day

I just got home and sat in my chair. I left here a 8:15am this morning. I worked until 4:30pm. I did have a fantastic day at work. While I was cleaning windows at one of our commercial accounts, a gentleman walked up to me and told me how impressed he was with my work. He asked if we did houses. I told him that we did and that we provide free estimates. He promptly set up an appointment for an estimate. I gave him an estimate and he asked how soon could we do his house. We’re doing our first walk-up house on Monday. Sometimes, I guess a good work ethic pays off. He was shocked at how much less we could do his windows than the company he had before. Just from seeing my work he expressed great confidence in our company and wants his windows done 2 or 3 times a year. In case you didn’t know, this is an awesome thing. After writing the estimate, I went and picked up the kids from their mothers. I didn’t get them last weekend on my normal weekend because of Easter and missed them. We went to Pizza Hut for dinner. We talked for an hour or so about school. They asked how I was doing, which kinda caught me off guard. I dropped them off at their mother’s and headed back to Clio. My other ex called and asked me if I could come over and change a lamp cord for her. I stopped there and changed the cord and then her husband came in from work (he’s a nice guy). He asked if I could install a graphics card in their computer so I did that too. Next stop, my brother’s house. I had pictures in my camera from the rabbit show that my sister-in-law wanted so I was going to upload them to her computer. No luck, the kids were on the computer so I gave her instructions on how to do it. I then went to my bosses house to drop off my work from the day. He showed me the new flyers he had made for trying to get more customers. He did a good job on them and they will help a lot when potential customers approach me on the job site (10 or 11 already have in the last week and all I could give them was a smile and a handwritten piece of paper with our phone number). On the way home, Brenden called me. The windows on his Jimmy were fogging up and he couldn’t keep them cleared. I immediately suspected a hole in his heater core. I am going out to look at it tomorrow sometime. He had already called me earlier in the day from the oil change place he went to. They told him that both his ball joints are bad and need to be changed. I am going to look at them tomorrow also. I may not be able to help him out financially, but I can save him money on car repairs so that makes me feel good. Looks like another long day tomorrow . . .

Just from this description of a day it is apparent how core-essential you are to so many people. How cool is that? :-) :-) :-)
