Well, obviously I didn’t stay out late playing cards. I ended up hitting the bed last night at 5am and then getting up this morning at 8am.  I did have a good day though. I’m pretty tired now though. When I got to Jeff’s at around 6pm, Drew (Jeff’s brother) decided to do some target practice. He got his 22 automatic rifle, 308 lever action rifle, and 40mm pistol out. He asked Jeff and I if we wanted to shoot so we did. I haven’t even picked up a rifle or handgun in at least 5 years, probably closer to 10. We started out with the 22 at 50 yards out. Drew is a great shot and Jeff isn’t that bad either. When it was my turn, I hit the target a couple times out of ten shots. I’ve never shot a 40mm pistol before. I haven’t even held one that I can think of. I injured my hand/wrist a few years back and it’s still kinda weak, so I had a hard time keeping the pistol steady. I need some practice they said, although I either hit the target or was kinda close on my 10 round clip. I had a hard time keeping the barrel up so I shot mostly low or short. It made some nice holes in the yard though. LOL. It was a lot of fun. We didn’t get to shot the 308 because on Drew’s second shot with it the lever jammed and he couldn’t get it unjammed outside. It’s interesting to see what a 308 does to a phone book.  Jeff and I spent the next hour or so going over possible work for me in the next couple of weeks. I am going to spend a little time reading and then go to bed.
