I am sitting here all excited. As you can tell by my screenname (racecarfan44), I am a big racing fan. I love the speed on the big tracks – Daytona and Talladega. The Daytona 500 is today. I plan on watching the race. It starts at 3:30 pm Eastern time if you are interested on the Fox network. I kinda got away from watching last year after the middle of the season. I’d like to watch every race this year if I can.
I also love baseball. I am a big Tigers fan and am looking forward to the start of the season. There is a minor league team close by that I’d like to go see. The Great Lakes Loons are based in Midland, MI and are a low minor league affiliate of the Dodgers. They are members of the Midwest League. I’ve never been to a minor league game before, so I think it would be fun to watch. My oldest son likes baseball too, so maybe I can take him to a couple of games.
I’m going to start getting ready for the race. I have to make cigarettes and get my beverages ready. I’ll post again after the race. Have a good day everybody!
Minor league teams are almost more fun to get involved watching in person than major league teams. There is so much hope and fresh-faced enthusiasm, it is wonderful to watch and get cheering for. I’ll bet you could take some cool pix, too!
